The first one is about the physical aspects and the <a href=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/freedom-to-move-ii\/\">second one will focus more on other aspects<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Sensitivity<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our motion demands \u2018sensors\u2019 which give us information about our motion. Usually, we speak about five <\/span><b>senses<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste. We have a tendency to forget a crucial sense of our movement; an inner feeling called <\/span><b>proprioception<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, also known as <\/span><b>kinesthesia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 It allows us to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">feel <\/span><b>tension <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of our muscles, tendons and fascias; to feel flow <\/span><b>kinetic energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (bodywave); to feel <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the relative position of our own parts of the body &#8211; <\/span><b>coordination <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of movement (a key component in muscle memory and hand-eye coordination); to feel <\/span><b>balance <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">equilibrioception)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; to feel <\/span><b>pain <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(nociception) and to feel <\/span><b>temperature <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(thermoception) etc.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proprioception doesn&#8217;t just allow us to feel our<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> muscles and skin, it allows to feel our fascias, tendons, bones and organs.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A better inner feeling lets you move more precisely and efficiently.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inner feeling and the<\/span><b> sense of touch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are crucial sensors that demand a <\/span><b>sensitive touch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and need to be able to <\/span><b>synchronise &#8211; flow with <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your surroundings, whether people or objects.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><a href=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/touch.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2854\" src=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/touch.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"695\" \/><\/a>Tension<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For all movements, we need a necessary amount of muscle engagement\u00a0 &#8211; tension. However, normally we add much more tension than is necessary &#8211; <\/span><b>undesirable tension<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undesirable tension usually works <\/span><b>against you<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; makes you <\/span><b>slower<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>weaker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Undesirable tension <\/span><b>wastes your vital energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, slows down regeneration and produces toxins\u2026<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be able to be aware of undesirable tension is important for developing our inner feeling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physical tension is directly linked with mental tension &#8211; <\/span><b>stress<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be aware of stress, and be able to cope with stress, it is good to use your own personal experience to feel how the stress comes, and how it affects your body.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the awareness of tension in your physical body, you can start building up good habits to subconsciously manage mental stress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A relaxed body is more <strong>efficient<\/strong>, moves easier and <strong>quicker<\/strong> is more <strong>sensitive<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0 it creates a positive cascade effect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through a relaxed body <\/span><b>kinetic energy (bodywave)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> flows freely&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Liquid body<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The kinetic energy is working either for you or against you. You can freely <\/span><b>surf the bodywave<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or you can fight with kinetic energy &#8211; resist.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What is bodywave? <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"What is bodywave?\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M6FwOeRFzyA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be able to use kinetic energy, we need to harness the aforementioned inner feeling (proprioception).<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With kinetic energy you can use less energy &#8211; your movement can be more efficient.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can <\/span><b>accumulate the kinetic energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;\u00a0 the movement will be stronger and more dynamic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quite often we create a solid \u2018robotics\u2019 structure when moving in a specific direction. However, this solid structure paralyses us, and does not allow us to move smoothly in different directions. To break down this chain of solid structure we have to develop a <\/span><b>liquid power<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">opens us up to new dimensions of movement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Liquid power <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Liquid power\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Le69NRbQg7c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ageing is a process of crystallizing of the body\u2026 Bodywave flowing across your body mechanically disturbs your crystalised tissue and makes it smoother.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Posture<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your freedom to move is based on your <\/span><b>posture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Therefore, we truly want to deeply feel how balanced our structure is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are deeply feeling your posture, you will notice that your posture is not static, but you are permanently juggling with your body. You can feel<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/systematm.com\/flow-of-balance\/\"> <b>the flow of balance<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This tiny, but powerful (kinetic) energy works for you, or against you. The flow of balance is a crucial aspect that we need to synchronise with other attributes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Breathing<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breathing has a massive effect on the quality of the physical body and on the state of mind.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breathing can help with pain, fear and stress; or it can literally paralyse us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For some reason, we believe that\u00a0<\/span><b>holding the breath<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> helps us to move. We close the throat to create inner tension to support us from the inside of the chest.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We spend more energy on using surface muscles, rather than utilise core muscles.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We use surface muscles when we engage in strenuous physical activity when we are stressed, shocked when we feel pain, and when we want to be precise&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By holding the breath we naturally tense up,\u00a0 we are in effect expending more energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By holding the breath, <\/span><b>oxygen ceases to flow<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to your body! We need oxygen for the brain and muscles, especially in stressful situations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another usual restriction is <\/span><b>binding breathing with movements<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. E.g. exhale on exertion: during push-ups exhale on the push, and inhale as you bring yourself down&#8230; Are you free to inhale on the push? Are you free to <\/span><b>breathe in a different rhythm <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">than the rhythm of the movement? Cutting off the link between your motion and breathing brings you a new kind of freedom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Range of movement\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">osing the freedom to move is really obvious in the range of our movement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you don&#8217;t move throughout the whole range of your movement, you are losing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A body that does not move through the usual range of movement shrinks, becomes rusty, tighter, weaker and brittle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to keep the freedom of movement, it is important to go <\/span><b>out of the comfort zone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, leave your favourite patterns and move in the widest variety of movements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We usually stretch and build strength only in some particular positions, but to be free we need to be strong in every possible position. Similarly, we strengthen and stretch specific muscles and tendons, but what we really need is <\/span><b>holistic strength and flexibility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> across the whole body and across all myofascial tracks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Massage<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Massage has an influence on many factors; it should, therefore, be part of your range of tools used to free your movements.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Massage changes the quality of tissue and tension. It also introduces more nutrients, gets rid of toxins, stimulates tissue to be stronger and restores vitality etc.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many other attributes. I cannot mention all of them.
