Active movements demand your attention, it\u2019s usually a bit delayed and less accurate.<br \/>\nIf your movement is passive, your reaction could be quicker, more accurate &#8211; you can flow more smoothly with your surroundings.<br \/>\nThere are more aspects according to which we can recognise active and passive movement:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>according to force;<\/li>\n<li>according to attention;<\/li>\n<li>relative to another object.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/river-1054825_960_720.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1822\" src=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/river-1054825_960_720.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"690\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/river-1054825_960_720.jpg 960w, https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/river-1054825_960_720-600x431.jpg 600w, https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/river-1054825_960_720-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/river-1054825_960_720-768x552.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">According to Force<\/h2>\n<p>The first aspect is about a force which is moving with your body:<br \/>\n<b>1. Passive <\/b>movement is made by an <b>external force:<br \/>\n<\/b>&#8211; he forces of another person;<br \/>\n&#8211; gravitational force;<br \/>\n&#8211; force on transport etc.<br \/>\n<strong>2.<\/strong> <b>Active<\/b> movement is made by <b>internal forces:<br \/>\n<\/b>&#8211; muscles, tendons &amp; fascias;<br \/>\n&#8211; the potential of gravitational force<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">According to Attention<\/h2>\n<p>The second aspect is about your attention:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>The active <\/b>movement <b>needs your attention<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>The passive <\/b>movement <b>doesn\u2019t need your attention<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There are more ways that your attention can be involved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Conscious &#8211; aware action <\/b>(e.g. when you try to do a new movement). Your mind makes a plan of movement and gives a signal to the body to do it.<\/li>\n<li><b>Subconscious action<\/b> (usually a movement that has already been repeated many times e.g. (change gear in the car, tie the shoelaces etc.). Your mind is prepared for a circuit, which doesn\u2019t need your full attention.<\/li>\n<li><b>Conditioned reaction<\/b> (the one you have to learn). The stimulus we are reacting to could be: visual, tactile, kinetic, audible, olfactory or gustatory. The information can be managed by following arcs:\n<ul>\n<li>via the neocortex (stay, catch the ball, block the punch, move away in a specific way)<\/li>\n<li>via the limbic brain<\/li>\n<li>via the reptilian brain (move away from a flying object, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Unconditioned response<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>instinct <\/b>&#8211; a complex of unconditioned responses (freeze, fight or flight)<\/li>\n<li><b>reflex<\/b> <b>arc <\/b>(you are born with) &#8211; via the spinal cord \u00a0(knee jerk)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Actively stop <\/b>to keep tension (holding a weight, or holding your body on the bar etc.)<\/li>\n<li><b>Actively flow<\/b> with. Using a focused awareness &#8211; movements are planned, delayed and broken.<\/li>\n<li><b>Passively flow<\/b> with. Using an expanded awareness &#8211; in the present.<\/li>\n<li><b>Specific kind of tension<\/b> (relax, solid tension, elastic tension, plastic tension, flowing up etc.)<\/li>\n<li>You can <b>proactively prepare a path for kinetic energy<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Passively stop<\/b> &#8211; e.g. you lose consciousness and you stop keeping a necessary tension to stay put &#8211; you fell down<\/li>\n<li><b>Pure passive <\/b>&#8211; your body was moved just by the external force<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/reflex.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1814\" src=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/reflex.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"676\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/reflex.jpg 676w, https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/reflex-600x462.jpg 600w, https:\/\/veda.one\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/reflex-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Relatively to an Another Object<\/h2>\n<p>We can recognise active and passive movements relative to another moving object.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Passively don\u2019t move with an object.<\/li>\n<li>Actively don\u2019t move with an object.<\/li>\n<li>Actively try to move with an object (focus awareness) &#8211; movement is delayed and broken.<\/li>\n<li>Passively move with &#8211; movement flows smoothly with an object.<\/li>\n<li>Add active movement to passive movement. This is an efficient way to move smoothly and actively<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">How to Train Passive Movements?<\/h2>\n<p>Firstly, your body should be <b>relaxed<\/b>. You should keep just enough necessary tension to keep your structure &#8211; get rid of undesirable tension. The bodywave doesn\u2019t flow so smoothly via a stiff body. A relaxed body is also more sensitive.<\/p>\n<p>Try to <b>empty your mind<\/b>. Try to keep a specific kind of feeling, don\u2019t manage the movement with a focused awareness to try to guess how the move will continue &#8211; you would be wrong. If you make your mind busy, you will have a tendency to do it subconsciously.
